  Its ok. Lots of selection. The main lobby is very kitschy however. A lot of "Love, Laugh, Live" type stuff. Thr gardening supplies are more than plentiful.

  Purchased a tree and some armor stone from Van Dongen's and decided to have a new garden bed prepared (sod removed, soil placed) when the tree was being delivered and planted, vs. doing the work ourselves. Cost was very reasonable and the crew was exceptional - did great work, super friendly, and efficient. Will definitely go this route again and highly recommend working through Van Dongen's, to anyone looking to have some landscaping done.

  From first visit to final installation we experienced excellent customer service and top quality products. We bought two trees and had to have the yard fixed up from a stump removal. They did it all and went way above and beyond. Every single staff member, from office to management to delivery to installation guys were friendly, extremely knowledge in their craft and a joy to work with. Thanks Van Dongens for the fabulous trees - any garden needs we have in the future - you'll be our first stop!

  Four years ago, we arranged with Van Dongen's to have five hemlocks planted in our back garden. The whole experience went smoothly, from working with the staff to choose the trees, arranging the timing of the delivery and installation and the actual planting of the hemlocks. At every step, we found the staff to be helpful, responsive to questions & concerns and generally a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, the summer the trees were put in was a hot, dry one, followed by the worst winter in many years. The hemlocks looked good the following summer, but the next winter was also very hard and by the next summer, two of the trees were looking quite stressed. We consulted with Van Dongen's and followed their instructions on mulching and watering, but by the next summer it was obvious that two of the trees weren't going to make it and a third was starting to fail. Michael arranged for Steven to come out to look at the trees that fall and he agreed that they should be replaced, suggesting we wait until this spring to give them the best possible chance. Early this spring, we went out to the tree farm to pick the replacement stock and Steven was very helpful with suggestions and arranged the timing and details of the installation. When the day came, Carl called a couple of times to keep us informed of their arrival time and did an excellent job working in a much more difficult environment (this time the crew had to work around a lot more plantings that had been put in after the initial hemlocks had gone in). At every step of the way, we found the people from Van Dongen's to be very polite, helpful and professional. Michael followed up promptly with an email outlining care instructions and inviting us to get in touch with any concerns. The tree replacements fell within the warranty offered with their service and we found Michael to be very fair and accommodating with the other associated costs. We will continue to use Van Dongen's for future nursery needs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
