  We would drop in for lunch several times during the year and we're always happy wit service and food. Last week we ordered fish and chips @$19 each and they were terrible. Two pieces of fish the size of a small fish finger but mostly hard skin and awful soft and Verry small chips. Time before that a substandard burger. The wait staff is great.

  Since it was beautiful afternoon this week, my husband and I decided to to go for a drive and have lunch at the Lowville Bistro. We had been wanting to this for some time. We were seated on the patio, after being given our food menus, but no wine list. A server came by and offered us water and the we waited and waited and waited....I guess you get the picture. If they had been busy, I would have understood, but if there were 20 patrons, that's it. There were 3 servers who rarely came out to check on anyone. It was the middle of the week after one pm We waited 15 minutes to get our drinks an a half an hour for our food. I asked our server for mustard and relish for my burger and guess what....I waited only to get mustard and be told that the relish was on my burger, which it was not. Half way through my meal, relish arrived. The food was good. The problem was not with the kitchen, but to suggest that the level of service was lacking would be a kindness that is undeserved. My only regret with this review is that I have to give it one star, which frankly, it does not deserve. I did not speak to the management because, quite frankly, there was a display of apathy that indicated that any complaints would fall on deaf ears. I must admit, however, our bill was presented in a timely fashion. Thank you Lowville Bistro for spoiling a beautiful afternoon!

  Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. Despite being very busy that night the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The food was fast to arrive and was in line with the best french cuisine, I've ever tasted. I would give this place 7 stars if I only could. Very, very recommended!

  Nice place and great atmosphere! Noisy to have a conversation. Good service but waitress not so kind.
